This is a cute craft if your kids savor painting. Y'all can make many of these very quickly, so this is perfect for making Easter cards.

An adult will have to cut the potato, only the kids tin can do the remainder!

You volition need:

• 1 small potato
• Sharp knife
• Cardstock paper or watercolor paper
• Yellow acrylic paint
• Sponge or paintbrush
• Orange and blackness markers OR googly eyes, orange construction newspaper, scissors

Instructions:

1. Cutting the potato in half.
2. Take one of the halves and cutting it in half. You should at present have ½ murphy, and two ¾ cuts of the potato.
3. For paint: if using a sponge, cutting information technology in one-half and put information technology in a small slice of Tupperware or some other pocket-size plastic container. This is a super piece of cake project that only requires a few basic supplies. If you are not interested in making a Christmas ornament, the felt chicken would also exist a fun accent to sew or gum on a hand towel, tote bag, or frock.

You will demand:

• Felt in different colors
• Scissors
• Felt gum
• Twine (if you want to hang it)
• Large sewing needle (to add the twine)

Basic Instructions:

1. Choose different colors of felt and cut out the chicken parts: head and trunk, legs, nib, rummage, and wattle.
2. Cut out any fun craven accents or accessories (add a scarf for a Christmas ornamentation, make polka-dots for your chicken, etc.)
3. Cut out ane pocket-sized circumvolve that is big enough to fit the head and body of the chicken (the legs will dangle off), and one slightly larger circle in a different color.
4. Glue the smaller circle on top of the larger circumvolve. The larger circle should look like a frame for the smaller one.
5. Glue your chicken parts on the middle circle, allowing the legs to dangle downwardly.
6. Thread the twine through the height of your circle if yous desire to use it as an ornament.

Stuffed Hen

This cute lilliputian hen makes a peachy gift for a child, can be used as casual home decor, or you could make a few and play bean bag toss! The project requires some simple hand sewing, simply even not-sewers can do information technology!

You will need:

• Gingham fabric
• Red and yellow felt
• Scissors
• Sewing needle
• Thread to match your fabric
• Pins
• Cotton stuffing (a handful of cotton balls will work)
• 1 cup of dry out rice
• Googly optics

Basic instructions:

1. Cut two squares of material measuring 6 ½ ten 6 ½.
2. Cut out a beak from the yellowish felt, and a rummage and eyes from the cerise felt.
3. Pin the rummage in the top right of one of the squares of fabric, facing downwards. At that place should be a thumb-sized space between the correct edge of the comb and the top right corner of your fabric.
4. Pivot the neb on the height-right edge of the textile facing inward. Go out a thumb-sized space between the beak and the top correct corner. The beak will slightly overlap with the rummage.

11. Glue on the small ruby circles for eyes, then mucilage one googly-eye in the middle of each one.
